This is such a fun book. I started smiling when I read the blurb for the first time and once I got into the book, it was almost non-stop laughter for me. This is romantic comedy at its best, with some very touching love scenes, a great underlying romance story, and a few deeper life truths added in – just to keep me on my toes. And even though this is the second time I read the story (‘Only You’ was the title of the first edition), with the additions it was just as entertaining and enjoyable this time around.

I have no idea how A.J. Llewellyn does it, but in this case, the ‘fairly serious’ topic of Ky getting fired is turned hilarious just by the way his situation is described. Much of the humor is due to the way Ky himself deals with it, but there are many exterior circumstances that add to the hilarity. It made me remember how important it is that we remain able to laugh at ourselves. There is a saying in German that expresses this perfectly: “Humor ist, wenn man trotzdem lacht” – roughly translated, this means: humor is if you laugh anyway.

If you like romantic comedy, this is a must-read. Anyone who needs cheering up should read this as well. For my part, I know I will reread this a few more times, just because it is so utterly, perfectly funny and touching.
